This can help with situations where the worker is having personal problems when usually they are one of your best employees. If you have taken the time to get to know them, then you won’t jump to conclusions and think they are just lazy or a bad worker. Little things like this are good for building up employee morale and show that the worker is more than just a nameless employee.
Some of the ways to accomplish this is to come into the break room and eat with your workers from time to time and have a little chat about how things are going in their lives. Wish them a happy birthday or just ask about their kids or pets. You many not think so, but his means a lot to your workers. Don’t Hide Bad News

Another aspect of keeping good employee morale is to not hide it if things at the company are going wrong or if a new rule comes down from the top that you know they aren’t going to like. If you instead present the situation candidly and honestly, they may not like it, but they won’t think you don’t care. They will appreciate the fact that you didn’t hide anything from them; no matter if it was soemthing they didn’t like or was otherwise bad news.
On the same note, be sure to give your employees the opportunity to tell you any bad news on their own. If they are having any issues then you needs to know about it and if the workers know they can approach you and you won’t bite their head off, then they are likely to do so and thus, you keep good employee morale for all.
